Assessment Bot is faster and more reliable than ever

Not long after we released version 09/11/2023, OpenAI was hit by a massive cyber attack and has suffered with reliability issues since then. As a result, we made some changes and released version 14/11/2023 to address these. Unfortunately, while the reliability issues were fixed, we weren't able to offer the improved marking accuracy that we'd added in the 09/11/23 version. 

Thanks to another under-the-hood update, we're now able to offer even faster performance and all of the accuracy improvements that we'd hoped for. We haven't needed to make any changes to the template so you can download that as normal (version 14/11/2023). In case you'd forgotten, these improvements are:

• Re-designed student feedback sheet 

• More precise feedback given.

• Improvement in marking performance, especially with large classes

• A whole range of bug fixes and small tweaks to improve performance and reduce errors.

The best bit is that unless you've selected 'gpt-3.5-turbo-1106' as your model, you don't need to change anything. You'll get the improved performance and accuracy automatically.

Other updates

We now have a new tutorial on how to generate exam style past paper questions. These are ideal for use with Assessment Bot but you can use them in anything!
